Bezuidenhout Capital Partners was founded on a simple but powerful observation: South Africa has thousands of excellent privately-owned businesses whose founders are approaching retirement with no clear succession path.

Traditional Banks won’t provide acquisition capital due to the lack of sureties and guarantees from first time buyers. Most PE funds are searching for extremely large transactions and are exit-focused due to the fund’s life cycle. Generally first-time acquirers are simply without the capital, commitment and know-how in closing these transactions.

We were built to be different. Bezuidenhout Capital Partners is a hands-on, permanent-capital acquirer — part investment firm, part operating company. We find businesses that are already excellent, acquire them at disciplined valuations, and commit to them for the long term.
